Distinction in all four relevant categories for the KENDA Ultra-High-Performance summer tire
Another success for the EMERA A1: Winning the Taiwan Excellence Award 2018 in the categories R&D, Design, Quality and Marketing confirms once again that the KENDA Ultra-High-Performance summer tire is among the best of its class. At the Automechanika trade show in Frankfurt, from 11 to 15 September, the tire will be on display along with other innovations by Taiwanese companies in the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion in hall 4.2, at the TAITRA booth (J53).
Since 1993, the Taiwanese Ministry of Economy has been working closely with TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) to bestow the Taiwan Excellence Award as an internationally recognized seal of quality for cutting-edge technology “Made in Taiwan”. The award evaluates Taiwanese products using the criteria R&D, Design, Quality and Marketing Strategy. Its purpose is to highlight particularly innovative products and to promote and support competitiveness in the international market. Today, the Taiwan Excellence logo has become a trade mark for top-quality Taiwanese innovation products that is held in the highest regard internationally.
In making its choice, the jury particularly emphasized the fuel-saving, environmentally-friendly profile of the EMERA A1. The innovative “Low Noise Pattern Design” guarantees low roll resistance and substantially reduces rolling noise.
The tire also offers balanced and safe performance, excellent wet grip and hydroplaning properties as well as outstanding handling and cornering.
The jury explicitly
mentioned KENDA’s clear, efficient research and development strategy. Certified according to the ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and TQM (Total Quality Management) standards, KENDA aligns its product development not only with the requirements of its “home markets” Taiwan, China and South-East Asia, but also with the special performance requirements of the European market. The EMERA A1 is an exemplary success in this regard and is proving to be an excellent ambassador for its country.

Based on the outstanding sales results in Europe, KENDA is further expanding its product range. In 2019, consumers will be able to choose from a total of 50 sizes with rim diameters up to 20 inch and tire sections up to 35.
