European market surveillance regulation
January 14th, 2014
A new proposal to introduce a market surveillance Regulation across the whole of the EU has been recently passed through the European Parliament.
As ITMA welcomes anything which improves enforcement of non-compliant products in the marketplace, ITMA and most other industry bodies, will not oppose this proposed Regulation. However, the Association will monitor its development carefully to ensure that it does not include any elements which might be construed as a non-tariff barrier to trade.
Further information can be found on the European Parliament website.
