The Tire Cologne KENDA introuces its products for Europe
At the Tire Cologne, KENDA presents the KENETICA 4S – the next member of the “Designed to Perform” generation. The all-season tire with directional tread pattern combines the characteristics of a high-performance summer tire with the safety requirements of a modern winter tire.
No compromises in winter
The KENETICA 4S is convincing with its short braking distance and good traction on snow. At the same time, it offers safe handling on dry and wet roads and even on ice. These features make the KENETICA 4S a first-class all-rounder. The first sizes will already be available later this year.
More new releases are coming soon
Also expected this year is the KENETICA ECO – the new KENDA tire in the “Standard Performance” segment (V tires up to 16 inches).
In addition, as part of the “Designed to Perform” strategy, three products have completed development and are available for the German and European market: the summer UHP tire EMERA A1 and the winter tires WINTERGEN 2 for cars and KOMENDO WINTER for vans.
“Designed to Perform” is KENDA’s slogan for Tire Cologne. This illustrates our commitment to quality. “We develop tires that perform well or satisfactory in media tests,” says Frits van der Steege, Senior Project Engineer. Michael Andre, Marketing & Sales Manager Europe, adds, “We position KENDA at an attractive price in the middle segment. We are virtually the ‘challenger’ and the price has to be right, but in terms of quality, we make no compromises. Customers driving KENDA tires are safe on the road. The importance of that is clear. Our development focus is on Germany and Europe and the result is powerful products for the specific requirements.”
First-class products are the key to the German and European market. For KENDA Europe’s small but very active team, one of the most important tasks is to provide the necessary details about the area specific performance criteria and requirements to the tire developers at KENDA’s R & D centers in Taiwan and Akron, Ohio, the tire capital of USA. The developed prototypes are all tested on European proving grounds and further developed until they are production ready.
Shortened information channels will soon be realized. The establishment of KENDA EUROPE TECHNICAL CENTER will take concrete shape in the second half of 2018. Preparations are currently underway on the premises of KENDA Group owned Starco GmbH at Winsen an der Luhe for KENDA’s first European project engineer, Frits van der Steege, to start its development work. More engineers are needed at this attractive location on the outskirts of Hamburg, because KENDA’s product plan includes a number of development projects.
Interested visitors can view the results of the “Designed to Perform” strategy at the KENDA exhibition stand in Hall 6. More marketing companies are required for the German market.
