Another new member for ITMA
PT Multistrada Arah Saranah or ‘MASA’ is the latest tyre manufacturer to call upon the support and expertise of ITMA by joining as a member.
Multistrada manufactures both passenger car and motorcycle radial tyres under the Achilles and Corsa brands. Based in Indonesia, the company is one of the country’s largest tyre manufacturers with a daily production capacity of some 45,000 units which are sold in more than 80 countries around the globe.
“We are pleased to welcome on board another major manufacturer,” comments Alfred Graham, president, ITMA. “As an exporter to so many European territories, it’s essential that Multistrada are fully aware of their legislative and technical obligations when trading in the region and I’m delighted that they have turned to ITMA to support these efforts.”
Multistrada’s membership continues a period of significant growth for ITMA which saw it attract several other new members during 2012. As the wide-ranging regulations affecting tyre manufacturers operating in Europe continues to grow, the Association expects continued interest from other non-European manufacturers who may be finding it increasingly difficult to operate in isolation.
